The Sterling Hotel event venue guide

Sterling Hotel by Wedgewood Events is a Victorian event venue in downtown Sacramento. Built in 1894, it is “only steps away from the State Capitol and the governor’s mansion,” with a stained-glass rotunda, glass chandeliers and mirrored archways.

The venue says extensive renovations were completed in late 2024, including a refreshed grand hall with new flooring, dramatic lighting and a new cocktail lounge. It hosts weddings, galas, fundraisers, conferences, birthday and retirement parties and corporate events, and is a five-minute stroll from the Sacramento Convention Center.
